GUILT FREE HOME MADE CHOCOLATE ICE-CREAM

Ingredients

2-3 x whole Bananas

1 cup non fat vanilla yoghurt

4 tablespoons of cocoa powder or your favourite chocolate protein powder if you like a sweeter taste

1 x whole Avocado

2 tablespoons of flaked almonds

1 tablespoon of shredded coconut

Step 1

Slice 2 whole bananas into small round pieces and arrange onto a board or plate, try not to have them touching each other as you arrange them on the board. Once done place the board in the freezer for 45 minutes to chill.

Step 2 (allow 45 minutes to pass before completing step 2)

Take one whole avocado and remove the skin and stone, once this is done slice the remainder of the avocado into small pieces and place into the blender or food processor.  Now add the chilled bananas and blend/mix together.

Step 3

Add 1 cup vanilla yoghurt to the banana and avocado mix, along with 4 tablespoons of cocoa powder (or protein powder) and 2 tablespoons of flaked almonds in the blender. Blend all the ingredients until thoroughly mixed. (You may need to stop the blender and use a spoon to move the ingredients gathering on the sides so as to make sure all the ingredients are mixing together evenly).

Step 4

Once your mixture is evenly blended, remove contents from the blender and place into a plastic food container with lid suitable for freezing and place into the freezer for approx 4 hours.

Step 5. (after at least 4 hours)

Remove contents from the freezer. Scoop out into your bowl and enjoy! You may wish to dust your ice-cream with shredded coconut and diced pieces of banana for extra flavour.
